This sleek, compact, and striking machine, created by Milan-based company Deep Design combines the brand's retro aesthetic with cutting-edge technology. It handles every step of the coffee-making process, from grinding beans and then tamping the beans into a puck to making milk into a texturing process and dispenses the correct amount of coffee - meaning you can create high-quality barista hot drinks by pressing a button.
The machine also features an attractive brushed aluminum front and is available in a choice of black, red or taupe, which means it's a great fit for most kitchen designs. There are some flaws, however: most reviewers thought it was a bit expensive for a bean to cup maker (and it doesn't include a milk pitcher).
There were also many glowing reviews about this machine's ease of use and the quality of its coffee. The digital display offers information and step-bystep instructions throughout the entire brewing procedure, helping you to improve your coffee every time. It will even alert you to tweak the grind size if not quite right. It's like having a personal barista at home (minus Elon Musk's rocket building abilities and Harry Potter's invisible cape).
If you prefer drinks with milk, this model features an adjustable steam wand upwards and downwards to fit the majority of drinking vessels that aren't equipped with the drinking horn of Vikings. We were also amazed by the speed and efficiency at which the frothing was done. It also makes a delicious espresso, with great crema and a full flavour despite its compact size.
The BCC02 is a fantastic all-rounder, quiet and efficient and provides excellent value for money at its current price of PS499. The only problem is that it doesn't offer the same level customisation as other bean-to-cup machines that we have examined. It comes with a 15 bar pump rather than the more typical 19 bars, which isn't as good to make high-quality espressos. 2. Melitta Barista TS Smart
The Barista TS Smart is a superb bean-to-cup machine that has numerous features that set it above the rest. Its most unique characteristic is that it can be controlled from your smartphone via the Melitta Connect app. This lets you alter the settings and dispense various coffee recipes stored inside the machine.
This makes the machine flexible and adaptable to your personal preferences. There are a variety of options to alter the intensity of your drinks, cup sizes, and even if you would like milk added. The machine has two airtight containers of beans that are automatically chosen to accommodate different tastes. It is set to standard espresso beans in one, and cafe creme (a German variation of long black or flat white) in the other however, you can select whatever beans you like. There is also a chute for pre-ground beans if you want to use your own.
Users have also been amazed by the speed of the machine. They have said that it is able to make their drinks much faster than other machines they've used. Another bonus is that it will alert you when one of its hoppers is nearly empty, so that you aren't caught running out of your preferred beverage.
The only thing that may be a negative for some individuals is the price. The machine isn't cheap, at nearly PS999. It's still less expensive than similar Jura machines that have similar features.
